MOOCS?
This class has been about using instructional technology in the classroom. I am all for that. I believe that technology is a tool and, like any tool, can be used effectively or it can be used by someone trying to eat pudding by using a hammer.
Recently, there has been lots of talk about MOOCs, or, Massive Open Online Courses. In some sense, they are supposed to be the saviors of higher education, allowing students to gain degrees without the high overhead of brick-and-mortar universities.
But, is this really the case?
